ATOMIC THEATRE began as a Miami-based electronica / dark ambient / avant-garde jazz ensemble inspired by the change operations of John Cage, free jazz, and early UK alternative music.

The band continues to present improvised and experimental jazz recordings, as well as gigs featuring poetry and music by Daniel Medina, founder of ATOMIC THEATRE, and Mario Cesar Del Risco.

As the ensemble evolved organically, an intentional embrace of Darkwave, Coldwave, and the Goth subculture occurred. Taking musical cues from preeminent bands such as Joy Division, Bauhaus, Dead Can Dance, The Cure, New Order & The Psychedelic Furs, as well as from contemporary ones such as She Past Away, Two Tribes, and She Wants Revenge.

ATOMIC THEATRE establishes its unique signature within genres, seeking the sublime integration of existential poetics and cutting-edge musical innovation.
